I'm going to persuade my fellow classmates that free condoms DON'T equall sex. I'm going to do this by using statistics, important facts and general knoledge.

1) The statement is debateable and shouldn't be because,13,000 students were studied and the result was that this notion that free condoms leads to more sex is unfounded.

2) The price of condoms is too cheap, to say that free ones encourage sex.

3)Proper sex education is the way to go

4)78 percent said their boy friends had condoms but stopped using them because they didn't like the way the felt

5)health clinics obtained more condoms per student per year than did students in other schools. (Family Planning Perspectives, 28:196-202, 1996)

Attention getters

Teenagers tend to make their decisions based on their feelings rather than by logically considering the consequences of their actions. Teenagers are between adulthood, where you tend to logically think things through, and childhood, where you react solely on what you want. It has been my experience that teenagers will have sex if they want to, whether they have a condom or not. Thus, it is my belief that offering free condoms will not increase sexual activity or desires.

My survey questions.....ENJOY! My topic is pre~marital sex and how the distrubution of free condoms in schools promote pre~marital sex. 1) Do you think pre~marital sex is a big issue in the U.S? 2) Do you view pre~marital sex as a negative or positive issue? 3)How common is pre~marital sex in your everyday surroundings? 4)Do you think it can be prevented? 5)On a scale of 1~10 how important is sex in a relationship? 6) Were there any questions you were uncomfortable asking? Can't wait to answer all of your questions! Have a great weekend!!! :)

my first topic
Mood:  energetic
I would like to debate the use of explicit content in advertisement. With the superbowl soon to be upon us i felt this was a good topic to debate with the class seeing how the commercials during the superbowl are center stage!
